Budget
We don’t need any stinking Budget……..Budgets bring accountability, That interferes with Tax and Spend.

I do not get it. What is wrong with getting income before spending instead of borrowing and spending.
U S deficit was going down until Reagans ’s ultra deficit spending started.
All Republican presidents since have followed, sometimes worse.

Really strange! A lot of cartoonists are using a (this) famous painting as basis for their cartoons this year. I’ve been reading Gocomics since 2006 and never ever seen a thanksgiving cartoon based on that particular painting (I don’t even know it, but the theme with father in the back, mother with the turkey and the family around the table is easy to spot). Is that painting “new”? It looks old to me (seen the original on MSNBC, but without comment, so no clue)…

In addition, when you start 2 expensive wars and pay for them outside the budget, what do you expect.

“My way or the highway”, from Mr. Boehner is NOT “negotiation”. “Sequestration” is not “negotiation”.
Of course the thing not brought to the table is “common sense mathematics and needs”.

“Common sense” and “mathematics” in government (I’ll throw “science” in there, too)! Now that would be something to be thankful for. (Notice I said “would”. We aren’t there yet.)

Occasionally the cartoonists get suggestions of drawing a ‘theme’ by the media. Probably the Norman Rockwell picture was offered. No one has come close to the Rockwell genius and probably ever will.
