I suppose George Lucas got tired of grinding the franchise into the dirt and wanted to give someone else a chance to do so.
Still, though, this could be a positive thing. I mean, as disappointed as I was with “Tron: Legacy”, I have to admit- even Uncanny Valley Digital Jeff Bridges was more lifelike than Hayden Christensen!

While the Disney press release talks of “monetizing America’s best branded content” of “entertainment”, the reality is the monopolizing of information, and entertainment the public receives. From children’s films, to ESPN for dads and sports folks, to ABC news and entertainment content, it’s the mouse in the Fox house.
