    Now they make the TP narrower and wrapped around a wider tube. They’re not fooling anyone.

    But don’t squeeze the Charmin (no matter how long it gets)!

    I’m not going to go into detail about the math, but the answer I get is that roll is a 400 year supply or better of t.p. for one person.

    @BRI-NO-MITE!!

    Recently bought a 24 pack of a very good brand (on special) and noticed the rolls looked smaller in comparison to the last few remaining rolls I had. Sometimes a bargain isn’t what it seems. So now that brand is off-limits. Once bitten, twice shy.

    TP used to be 5" wide … now its about 4.25" wide. Yeah, it saves the companies money, but I’ve noticed that most places where the TP is applied haven’t gotten smaller over the years … the opposite is true.

    Perhaps our king should require our elected officials to wear dunce caps everyday until they stop screwing the regular folks and start taxing the crap out of the wealthy!

    Will the roll be put on facing forward or back ?
    I have yet to figure out why anyone would hide the end in back!

    No doubt, that was the first manufactured size. My how it’s shrunk over the years!

  12. exturk

    I assume that is the machined size which is cut into the smaller rolls and packaged?

    None of the commercial stuff works better than good old corn cobs.
    (Trouble is, cobs plug up the plumbing!)

    Today’s “double rolls” were once the normal size; tubes are a bit wider, too!!!!! Ha!! “Save the trees”, my a**!!!!!!!!!!

    The picture is not correct. The actual rolls are normal in diameter but, several yards long which are then sliced off into regular rolls.
