One of my favourite variations of ’The Twelve Days of Christmas was sung by an impersonator using various celebrity voices, starting with Foster Brooks.
Wish I could find a copy of it.
Another great rendition was sung on the Mary Tyler Moore show, where Mary, Murray, Ted and Mr. Grant are furious with each other but wind up singing the song at a party.

The cost of the 12 gifts of Christmas could be debateable. Pipers piping, ladies dancing, drummers drumming, lords a leaping, etc. don’t work for minimum wage. Then there’s the cleanup.

A Happy Holiday to the rest of us who aren’t celebrating the coming of the Messiah, yet.

It was President Grant who signed the bill making Christmas an official U.S. holiday. Unfortunately, that is probably Grant’s best known achievement, as his presidency was ruined by politicians he put his trust in. He should have known that he couldn’t trust politicians like he trusted his fellow West Pointers.

I’ve been wondering when some bright young ACLU lawyer would pick up on the notion that Santa Claus is a religious figure. Bet they realize that but the hypocrite SOBs won’t touch it with a 100’ pole!

Then there’s Jeff Foxworthy’s “Redneck Twelve Days of Christmas”. Totally hilarious.

A christian rip-off of a pagan harvest festival, with a fake birthday(july, actually) of an imagined"savior" thrown in for good measure! Life is a LOT easier when your an existential nihilist!

We’re smearing ourselves with mud and burning the entrails of a sacrificed animal tonight in celebration of…. What’s this I hear about a “Pagan ritual?” Sounds like fun!
