    British sailors were issued a rum ration. The useful aspect of this was that it could be withheld as punishment.

    @Big Bri
    WE
    (the British and Irish) prefer Guinness served at the correct temperature of between 6 and 7° and real ale at between 12 and 14°. Do THEY consider that warm?

    Most drinkers of Bud/Miller/Coors have to drink that crap as cold as they can get it, so that they don’t experience the crappy ‘non-taste’ of the product. Most Americans don’t even realize that the ‘big 3’ are no longer American owned companies. Support American Owned Craft beer (Sam Adams, Southern Tier, Great Lakes, etc.). As a home brewer, and a craft beer enthusiast, I realize that you best experience full flavors at something north of 40 deg. F.

    Unfortunately our ‘Canadian’ beer has become more “Americanized” (tastless). But there some microbreweries that produce some fine beers.
    Guinness, Heineken, Grolsh, and Stella Artois, cover the bases for good beers.
