Once, pranksters changed the sign to read C A L T E C H. Shortly after, a sign at the entrance of the school read Hollywood Institute of Technology.

Can anyone show me where the word “teen” was used to describe young people before Pat Boone’s “Twixt 12 & 20?”

Morrison called himself that on one of his psychedelic trips, according to his biography.

Ah the good old days. They built something to last for 1.5 years and it’s lasted 90. Today they build something for 5 years and you’re lucky if it lasts 1.

Developers do that – put up impressive arches, etc and once they sell the properties, could care less!

Actually, it has not lasted up to the present day in its original form. They rebuilt it not long ago because it was getting in pretty bad condition. Still, it did quite well, overall.
