That 1960s ambulance looks kind of like the 1980s Ghostbusters’ car.

Makes you wonder how motivated the drivers were to get the patient to the hospital on time!

Actually they provided ambulance service into the 70s in many areas. I worked part time for a funeral home for a short time cleaning the hearses in 1975.

“Defiantly the kig of pop?,” and “the way we went?” We are still here. He is not.

I think that in rural areas in Puerto Rico the ambulance service is still provided by funeral homes.

In my part of the country, the ambulance/funeral service went together until the owners divorced back in the 90’s and she got the ambulance part!

Looks like a 1965 Oldsmobile to me. The Ghostbusters ambulance was a 1959 Cadillac.

Wrong country, Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the U.S. and is regulated by the U.S Dept. of Health rules. Plus they have all the U.S. medical insurances. They need no funeral homes to ride their sick.

“Defiantly the king of pop” sounds as though he was very adamant about that title and would get very offended at anyone who denied it. I definitely don’t think that was the case.

My Grand Farther (mother’s father) was taken to the hospital for the last time, and then taken to the cemetery in the same vehicle.
