    The roman “Fact” is fallacious. The myth that the Romans used to gorge themselves and then throw up comes from the misnomer of the “Vomitorium” people misguidedly believe that this was a room for being sick in. a vomitorium is actually a passage under the seats in a theatre or ampitheatre.

    I’m not sure who first figured it out, but I know the same process is used for dogs.

    @Bosn_c_otter,
    I suppose you believe that the holocaust is a myth, too!

    Now you are making an illogical supposition here. Why don’t you just prove your point you didn’t mention.

    Even one christian (or anyone for that matter) fed to the lions was one too many.
    (I also heard – rumor grade info – that they quit because the lions were eating up all the profits?)

    See “Antimonial cup” in Wikipedia, or google other references. You should check the facts for yourself before accusing others. Every time I thought a Ripley’s item was unbelievable, when I did the research I found there was ample documentation showing the item was factually correct.

    Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, has never stated that their “factoids” were, in fact, facts.
