Ripley's Believe It or Not has been presenting the incredible and the unusual in illustrated form since Robert Ripley's first "Champs and Chumps" comic published on Dec. 19, 1918. Currently, B.I.O.N. is illustrated by John Graziano, who has been working as an artist and illustrator since 1983, when he received a certificate in illustration from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. He has designed trading card sets and a portrait series based on the 1960s cult TV show "Dark Shadows." John has also created comic strips for "Scream Queens" magazine, designed t-shirts graphics and created storyboards and concept drawings for Hollywood films. Researcher Lucas Stram has worked since 2004 as the voice behind the cartoon, reviewing potential stories, filtering through the hundreds of weekly submissions and putting together the stories for John to bring to life. New submissions are always welcome. Just click here.

A skateboarding cat and (from a few “Ripley’s” strips ago) a bicycling dog. Big woop.

Okay, it has a steering wheel, but how does it steer?

They used them in Men In Black III … sort of.
So … even then … we had alien technology!

I got snapped at by a crocodile while riding my motoruota when I swerved to miss that damned cat on the skateboard. What the hell a crocodile was doing on a sidewalk in Seattle, Washington I’ll never figure out!

Dontcha just hate it when that happens?

the croc jaw closing muscles are very powerful. those that open the jaws extremely weak – 2 or 3 wraps with electrical tape is enough to secure the jaw.
..
that motocy worked, but the brakes were lacking – lock up the drive ring to the driven ring and you start doing LOOPS – you CAN stop (normally) just not a “panic stop”

It steals by leaning in direction that you want to go. The further you lean; the sharper the turn,

Okay, but why have a steering wheel? Just to perplex people, as if the whole sight of the thing wasn’t enough? And obviously it didn’t go over very well, although it probably FELL over easily!

My wife just finished showing me a video of a bird ( a small heron I think) that used a chunk of bread to catch fish. Now that is amazing. http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=469460876446817
