Ripley's Believe It or Not has been presenting the incredible and the unusual in illustrated form since Robert Ripley's first "Champs and Chumps" comic published on Dec. 19, 1918. Currently, B.I.O.N. is illustrated by John Graziano, who has been working as an artist and illustrator since 1983, when he received a certificate in illustration from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. He has designed trading card sets and a portrait series based on the 1960s cult TV show "Dark Shadows." John has also created comic strips for "Scream Queens" magazine, designed t-shirts graphics and created storyboards and concept drawings for Hollywood films. Researcher Lucas Stram has worked since 2004 as the voice behind the cartoon, reviewing potential stories, filtering through the hundreds of weekly submissions and putting together the stories for John to bring to life. New submissions are always welcome. Just click here.

How did the dude get to Cleveland in the first place? Was he on loan from Australia and they forgot about him?

That’s good because the words to most national anthems are either just bad or totally embarrassing. In fact I can’t think of a good one atvall offhand.

Dogs can develop diabetes. Cats can develop diabetes. In fact, I’d hazard a guess that MOST mammals can develop diabetes. And the big deal with that is???

I think the real question here is HOW can a dolphin develop diabetes? (I wasn’t aware fish were high in sugar)

It almost looks like a happy announcement: “Hey, kids! DIABETES! Isn’t that great?”

-———————————————————————-Sugar does not CAUSE diabetes. I have a daughter who has Type One (the kind that you have to use insulin for the rest of your life}. Type Two occurs to people who are overweight — they don’t have to use insulin if they lose weight. Both kinds have to monitor their sugar intake.
As a matter of fact, you can develop diabetes if your pancreas is injured in an accident. Diabetes controls insulin production. If it stops working, the result will be diabetes. Insulin is used to control blood sugar levels. If you use too much insulin, your blood sugar level will drop too low, which can cause death.
The remedy in that situation is candy, or Coca Cola (believe it or not!)

Dolphins may hold the cure for type 2 diabetes. Some how they are able to turn their diabetes on and off as needed. Very interesting.

Burning out the pancreas with large amounts of sugar is the main cause for diabetes in this society. People who consume soda, candy and high grain processed foods like McDonald’s regularly are most likely to develop diabetes as are the children of parents who practice these same unhealthy behaviors. Corn, which is high in sugar, is the first ingredient in high grain pet foods that most people feed to their pets, causes the same diseases in dogs and cats that humans develop. These animals were not designed to eat corn or another high grain diet anymore than cows were, yet it doesn’t stop people from feeding it to them. Pet meds is as popular as big pharm for people, but most people don’t even wonder why, they just accept it. Now, with all the garbage that is dumped into our oceans as well, we humans won’t dare exclude marine life from our lovely array of diseases.

Let’s see – with insulin at $100 per vial and a dolphin using X units per day

But i do and i fought in the Gulf to show it. I just dont think the words do a country justice. We should have Land of hope and glory as our national anthem instead of the dirge we currently use. If you think that sounds unpatriotic then thats your problem. Under fire in Iraq we found it stirring so think again.
