Wouldn’t it be funny if somehow one of the Voyager probes looped around and came back to Earth in a few hundred years?
(Not as funny as “Send more Chuck Berry”, though.)

I saw it twice, when it first came out, at a movie theatre that was torn down fifteen years ago.

They are running low on the radio-isotope that provides power. As power drops, parts are being turned off.

Yeah … coming back as V’Ger or Nomad would definitely be a bummer for earth … full of imperfect creatures who need to be ‘sterilized’. Pulleeeeze start in Washington DC NOMAD!

35 years old and still on line. I wonder just how many here reading this was even born when it was sent into space. I think it may still have a few surprises in store for use yet.

Strange story about the Venus Fly Trap. It is the only animal eating plant with a movable mouth. Also it was originally found in an ancient meteorite crater in the “Green Swamp.”
    -
The Green Swamp is a swamp that lies in Brunswick and Columbus counties in North Carolina. The carnivorous plant known as the Venus Flytrap is found within this swamp. North Carolina laws prohibit the removal of these plants from their habitat.

The Nature Conservancy manages 17,424 acres of the swamp as the Green Swamp Preserve.1
