Ripley's Believe It or Not has been presenting the incredible and the unusual in illustrated form since Robert Ripley's first "Champs and Chumps" comic published on Dec. 19, 1918. Currently, B.I.O.N. is illustrated by John Graziano, who has been working as an artist and illustrator since 1983, when he received a certificate in illustration from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. He has designed trading card sets and a portrait series based on the 1960s cult TV show "Dark Shadows." John has also created comic strips for "Scream Queens" magazine, designed t-shirts graphics and created storyboards and concept drawings for Hollywood films. Researcher Lucas Stram has worked since 2004 as the voice behind the cartoon, reviewing potential stories, filtering through the hundreds of weekly submissions and putting together the stories for John to bring to life. New submissions are always welcome. Just click here.

If she does eventually kill Gregory Todd, he’s too stupid to live anyway.

That makes the Sun’s core about 26,578 km in diameter, (less than 20% of its total diameter of 1,400,00 km).

I want that silent room now! My work place is so noisy I am hallucinating from all the stupidities I hear every day. The anechoic chamber can only be an improvement….

In “Rendezvous with Rama,” Rama is quiet enough to induce hallucinations. I found that hard to believe, but I guess Clarke did his homework.

He may be right, but possibly for different reasons than he’s thinking. First, it would be difficult to get any kind of positive ventilation going inside, since the movement of the air itself would make noise. That leaves you with only indirect heating or cooling from the outside. Now think of all the insulation making it so quiet…

I imagine you can also hallucinate in a sensory deprivation tank.

Yup, total silence would surely drive one insane.

Silence isn’t always golden!

Hasn’t he already had ‘a knife’ from her? That’s ‘aknife’ to make you wonder how sharp he is!

@Stephen Gilberg
It has to do with the human mind that if it is bereft of sensory input it generates it itself from its own memory. (In an
fNMRI it shows the same parts of the brain lit with activity as it does actually hearing and seeing.)
