    “Bamboo trees”? Since when are they EVER called “trees”? “Bamboo plants”, yes, but never heard of “bamboo trees.”

    Hmmm. Instruments made from vegetables. Reminds me of a radio ad in the 1980’s to encourage people to advertise on radio. A squash sounded like a saxophone, and celery sounded like a guitar. And someone said, “And now we’ll play our theme song, ‘Yes, We Have No Bananas,’ and then we’ll eat our instruments.”

    So does “rape” and “pedophilia.” Maybe it’s a way of protecting the girls while they’re very young.

    Would you ‘carrot’ all for making those musical instruments if you didn’t earn a ‘celery’ doing it?

    Bamboo is grass? Find a mower that will take that on!

    It’s nothing out of the ordinary if girls dress like boys and are tom-boys. But let a boy wear dresses and play with dolls and everyone automatically labels him “queer” “fairy” “sissy” and stuff like that.

    Yes one of the rare times that males get the short end. (It has to do with “lowering” themselves to being female.)

    @Mike

    You should Google “bamboo tree.” I got “about 700,000 results,” including a song sung by Judy Garland. I have heard the expression many times.
