I would like to see a comet as bright as the one in 1811.

Hale-Bopp, which blew away most of the records set by the Great Comet of 1811. Halley’s was around in 1986, and was a huge disappointment because it was hardly visible.

Comets are actually dirty snowballs with a long tail. But they’re fascinating to see. Astronomy is awesome.

It wasn’t visible to the naked eye in the day light was it? No but the 1811 comet was.
