Ripley's Believe It or Not has been presenting the incredible and the unusual in illustrated form since Robert Ripley's first "Champs and Chumps" comic published on Dec. 19, 1918. Currently, B.I.O.N. is illustrated by John Graziano, who has been working as an artist and illustrator since 1983, when he received a certificate in illustration from the Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts. He has designed trading card sets and a portrait series based on the 1960s cult TV show "Dark Shadows." John has also created comic strips for "Scream Queens" magazine, designed t-shirts graphics and created storyboards and concept drawings for Hollywood films. Researcher Lucas Stram has worked since 2004 as the voice behind the cartoon, reviewing potential stories, filtering through the hundreds of weekly submissions and putting together the stories for John to bring to life. New submissions are always welcome. Just click here.

Dr’s call gallblader attacks McDonalds disease. Especially now that it has moved down from the 40-50’s to the teens.

This is such old old old old news. I like reading Ripleys but this guy had so much press, I am guessing a year ago or more.

If you do the math he woukd have to eat more than one per day to reach 25,000 in 39 years. Seems bogus to me.

@Joseph Hawkins
they said ‘at least one’. I heard him on a radio show recently. Sometimes he has several, but always has at least one, including holidays. He freezes some in advance. Of course I think he is a bit of a kook.

As for the platybelodon, perhaps they are now extinct because of their obstructed ability to eat!

Actually it would take 68.4931507 days to eat 25k at one per.

I wonder if the government of San Marino ignores its constitution the way that the U.S. government ignores ours?

My thought exactly!!!! My guess is no. But I’ve not looked into any info on that. But ours is so obvious any grade school kid should be able to see it. If they still were teaching it in grade school. :(

I’ve never heard of a Platybelodon. I love to learn about new things in Ripley’s but do realize there could be some hoaxes so not so sure about this “Mac” guy. Some of you math whizes who have been figuring how many he’s eaten, can you also run the numbers on how much $‘s he’s spent on it through the years? Wonder if he usually got fries and a coke with that. I’m sure it would be ridiculously funny to hear what they used to sell for all those years ago. I get irritated when people say fast food is cheap. It’s not compared to what careful shopping for good food at a grocery costs. Not to mention the (hidden) costs of ill health, etc.

You may have heard it called a “shovel jawed Mastodon.”
That is quite an old constitution since 1600.
