I see where this might be going! They could get engaged, and Rip would meet Breezy’s mom, a whacky new regular character. After lots of hype about Breezy’s wedding gown, they’d get married and a bit later the strip would move to a different outlet. They’d have triplets which would be seen a couple times then forgotten. Then the strip would be cancelled, but would reappear in later years in several horrible revised versions, and finally after several decades, one decent one.

Also, Rip would have to constantly visit his dad every Christmas.

In the future, please refrain from using the “C” word when commenting about this strip. I need Rip Haywire.

Sad. He “married” Cobra and it worked fine… Breezy isn’t exactly afraid of adventure :)

It’s ‘Quills’, not ‘needles’, but I suppose the dog’s nose doesn’t know the difference…

Rip should be afraid of being eaten by a cougar, after all, he’s involved with two of them!

It might be a good time for Rip to join the Foreign Legion.

It’s Rip and Cobra forever. Breezy is history.

Excellent Quartermain MILLER! Considering all the adventure Tarzan saw with the ex-Legionaires in the desert, Rip would feel right at home.

Are you thinking of On Her Majesty’s Secret Service perchance? George Lazenby’s only outing as 007

CaptBullock I must disagree. I think that I see this going into Rip and Breezy form a great relationship in which Cobra tries to win Rip back but I in hopes that Rip is committed enough to Breezy that he or should I say I hope that they can hang in there. Well that would make for a cool and interesting story line. Don’t you think?

I’ve got a BETTER Idea – Breezy moves Stateside; Rip follows her, discovers that the “ranch” is a smuggling operation of SOME kind, busts that up, she loses her job but gets to keep the chopper, somehow. They go into an “Anytime, Anywhere”-style merc business together and marry – and then, COBRA contracts with them as an independent operator…
    Difficulties ensue. Of course.
