   Veridian, how long ago did that happen? I guess what I really want to know is did you go through a whole hunting season without the dog? This stuff of you getting her a gun scares me and I aint afraid of much. The woman that I have been married to for the last 34 years is probably the best shot that I know. (and a great trout fisherman) If I’m shooting at you just zig right zig left and you’ll be okay, but If my bride takes aim you just as well make funeral arraignments; handgun, rifle, .22 it doesn’t matter. She likes our .357, but complains about how loud (even with earplugs) it is. I got a new 300 Winchester Magnum and put a 3 × 9 Trophy Master scope on it. It does NOT buck very hard, but man is that baby loud. This gun has a synthetic stock, so it is pretty light and I have it sighted in for 75 yards. It’s hard to imagine that it does not kick any harder than it does, especially with that loud cannon sound. She has not fired it yet, but I bet when she does that she’ll like it. JR
