Yes they do Llewellenbruce!
One time Iwas at a shopping center & there was a RV parked there & inside the RV there was a small dog…wearing Diapers!

They are usually used on dogs that either have a medical condition, or a spinal injury that impairs bladder/bowel control.

I love that the little boys’ underpants are not only on the outside of his shorts but are backwards. As usual, Dans’ attention to detail is brilliant.

Just google for an image of Dan Reynolds. It’ll be hard to find one where he doesn’t have his underwear on the outside.
Drawing them backwards is a bleeep nice touch though.

I think the underpants backwards is partly practical….
It’s easier to see that they’re there.

There are diapers for female dogs in heat so they don’t bleed on your floor.

It’s nice that she’s smiling. He may be a mess, but he’s HER mess. That’s my favorite part of the whole comic.

I think they call them “throw rugs”. After the dog craps on them, you just throw them away.
I think Ray C. is just trying to be nice. It’s kind sappy and dumb, actually.
It would have been funnier I think if the father was just getting back from having the kid spade. Now, THAT’S funny.

eardroppings: I AM sappy. Not so smart either.
Speaking of dumb: it’s “spayed” not “spade.” ;-)
It’s interesting how often we do finger-homonyms when typing. The sound goes from the speech center to the fingers without checking in at the cortex. Or something like that.
That “spade” idea is funny, but how would you show that in a single panel cartoon?
Don’t answer that.
eardroppings said, 17 days ago
Yeah, “spayed” or he could be “spade”, I guess. That would be like being carded.

Those doggie diapers didn’t work for our dog :( -the person we got her from said she’d (the dog) HAD been fixed - what a mess to discover the truth!

One MAJOR problem !
Since the child is a boy, he could only have been neutered, not spayed (or spade) !

That’s too funny!
