    Better than when my mom had to take a yellow Lab that we had for a short while to an emergency vet.
    Bart had jumped into a storm door, breaking the glass and cutting his wrist on a front paw.
    When we got there, the vet had a mynah bird that meowed. Imagine the look on Bart’s face while he was all drugged up and heard the bird meowing!

    My African Grey used to mimic my dog’s squeaky toy and it drove him nuts trying to figure out who had his toy even though it was in his mouth. He also used to ask him if he wanted to go out in my voice and the dog would run to the door and stand there. I’m sure he did this when no one was home also,

    Glass splinters are hard to get out. They keep slipping out of the tweezers.

    I wasn’t quite as squeamish as Red at that age. And less so now. Poor kid, fainting happens when the brain is deprived of oxygen.
