    Enjoy your dog days while you can, boys…summer’s almost over!

    The dog days of summer are named after the helical rising of Sirius, the dog star <- my entry for the “most boring comment” contest.

    @catfeet

    Can not be over soon enough for me…I’ve had my fill…The 100’s are back in So. Cal. again…I’m ready for some nice Autumn weather, or what it used to be like in Autumn…I’m keeping my fingers crossed…

    Hey just because Rover wants to be a “Lap Dog” is no reason to get snippy, Red!

    I’m with you, Jo Clear…impatiently awaiting a little autumn haze, and my favorite time of year, Halloween! Can’t handle the hot temps anymore.

    This morning I dreamed it was Easter and the stores were full of Easter candy.

    I sometimes wonder if Mr. Brian B. does these things on purpose.

    Summer, my favorite time of the year. Days are longer which means more fun for the dogs at the shelter where I volunteer. We have a Duck Tolling Retriever named Sara who just loves playing in her kiddie pool. Summer means that she has more day time to do just that.

    I hope people tell you this all the time: thanks for volunteering at the shelter. I found that to be very difficult just b/c many times the dogs would be gone next time you went back and unfortunately not adopted. Thanks again!

    We used to have real weather changes in every season when I was a kid, a million years ago, believe it or not…with leaves turning colors and all……seems that is a thing of the past…Now we seemed to just have Summer…must be global warming in So.Cal.

    “my 100-lb. baby of a blue doberman…” My Irish Setter weighs only 54 lbs., but feels like a 100-lb. dead weight when she tries to be a lap dog…I can’t imagine what it must feel like to have her on your lap! ;)
