Red, listen to Rover…the ball might go boing, but if you fall off that pole your head will go splat!

In my lineup, this strip follows Pooch Cafe in which Poncho explains other ways to fetch a ball. Rover on the other hand, has common sense. He just fetches the ball.

Small balls like these are all well and good in comics but in REAL LIFE super balls are the WORST THING you can give a dog. They are small enough and so slippy when wet they can get lodged even in a small dog’s throat and cause them to choke to death in minutes. You won’t even have time to call a vererinarian let alone get him to one. Nothing should be smaller than a tennis ball. Keep your best friend safe and well. He depends on you for that. ☺

Actually, a superball will bounce much higher if you are standing on the ground than if you throw it from height.

You can get the superballs in super size now. They COME in tennis ball size. My son has a couple of them. There is a slightly satisfying splat as you bounce them hard. LOL

Bro6164: They quit using them when the Reach-All type buckets came out. Most of the spikes on poles and strap on “spurs” have gone the way of the De Soto cars and Ford Falcons. Oh the memories!!!
