I have string I used for kites when I was a kid and it is still as strong as it was then…It was made in the U. S…made to last…

Never eat at a place called Mom’s.

Never play poker with a man called Doc.

You don’t tug on Superman’s cape
You don’t spit into the wind
You don’t pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger
And you don’t mess around with Jim

I agree! I try to clean out my closets, but every time I find a piece of clothing made in the US, I keep it, even if I haven’t worn it in a while. And I still look for things made in the US when buying things now. I’m okay with paying more because it’s worth it.

Don’t buy kite string from a dollar store either! Get Mason’s Twine from H. D. Supply.

Does the store also sell minute hands and hour hands?

I hope you wrote a message on that kite, Red. Maybe with your address.

At least it looks like he has a lot more string left. Little danger of getting to the end only to realize it was not tied to the handle, stick or spool.

Did that ever happen to Charlie Brown?

Red, I think it’s time you graduated from kites that are controlled by the wind, to remote controlled airplanes!

terek: Apparently the edict to the corporate media is that RC model airplanes may only be called drones. One caught a polluter in Dallas recently and the media has called them drones ever since.

Good for you, you are my kind of people..I do the same thing…I just bought a Craftman miter box today, and its one of the few things made in the USA..Noted on the front of the box, “Proudly made in the USA” A lot of their products are made in China, so you have to pick and choose.
