…and, no, I don’t think the rear windows opened on a Beetle, either, (and the wing windows are missing) – but I’m too nostalgic for my folks’ old ’61 Beetle right now to care.

The wing windows were added to the ‘52 Beetles. I don’t know if they went all the way to the U.S. discontinuation in 1979.
