True, that Neckerchief would have been Red.

Here’s to all who served in “The Cold War” Our Nation’s real ‘LONGEST’ War. Including Korea, Viet Nam, and ALL the unremembered ‘inccidents’ and "confrontations’ and ‘alerts’ that kept the rest of the world from becoming Eastern Europe.

Just because no one remembers, or thanks you, it doesn’t mean that what you did, didn’t matter. It DID, You DID.

    Thanks all!

The sad day is Memorial Day, which was enacted to honor those who did not make it home.
Thank you to all veterans from a former civilian employee of the U.S. Navy. I worked in the Navy’s Morale, Welfare & Recreation Dep’t. at Naval Air Station – Joint Reserve Base Willow Grove (near Philadelphia, now closed) to help our fine men and women in all branches of the military except for the Coast Guard unwind after a hard day.
I was proud to say that I proudly served those who serve our country!

In memory of my mom’s first fiancé, Sgt. Charles Avery Rublee of Mesquite, Texas, who has been missing in action since 28 DEC 1950. He was in Korea, and was believed to be just north of the 38th parallel.

Veteran’s Day always reminds me of my time as a medic in Viet Nam. I helped bring back many but not all, and they are remembered.

Sadder still if no one bothered to remember them at all!

Thanks to all Vets, to those now serving, and to the families of those who didn’t make it home.

..and still sadder that there is a necessity to serve in the first place

My profound thanx to all who served, for their sacrifices and the sacrifices by their families on the home front as they fought to defend our freedoms.
