    If you look at the three gold stripes on Crunch’s sleeve, he’s only Commander Crunch!! A captain would have four stripes.
    Captain William Bligh was only a “lef-ten-ant” (lieutenant as pronounced in England) when he commanded the Bounty in 1789.

    I remember when I was a little kid the Cap’n Crunch commercials had a whole cast of characters, orphans, who were the crew of the Guppy.
