    The idea of wanting to join you just fizzled out on me, Red.

    We thought rootbear Fizzies were fantastic while we were in Brazil. They were the only rootbear we could get.

    I used to work for a medical laboratory back in the early 1990s. Sometimes I would bring home a small chunk of dry ice and throw it in the deep end of my pool!

    I don’t know if they are around still, but mine now go by the name alka-seltzer.

    The excitement and anticipation totally outweighed the experience…unless your mom wasn’t looking and you could use 6 tablets at once.

    But…it never stopped us from wanting mom to buy them!

    Good to see. I know they were revived back in the ’90s, but they used Aspartame and it tended to breakdown in the warehouses from the heat. So, round three with sucrolose.

    They were good to have on camp-outs, as a kid. Helped kill the taste of the water sterilizer we used.

    Are those lemon-lime Fizzies, or did Rover leave his business card in the pool?

    me too and they have not improved with time. My kids found them in the store back in the ’90s and bought me some. No better than before.

    @TexMichael

    That’s just sad man. I remember when Instant tea came out. That stuff was nasty but my Aunt Elsie loved it and it was all we would get at her house.

    Then again she had those aluminum tumblers in pastel colors. Every thing tasted strange in those things.
