Woo Hoo, they’re watching Star Trek!

Keep in mind also it’s the 1960’s. That’s when the episodes on that series were first-run.

Not a bad picture for rabbit ears of that time. Maybe’s the receptions’ better outdoors.
But wait a minute. Wasn’t Star Trek on only at night back then. The syndication of and therefore showing of episodes during the day only started happening in the ‘70’s.

It specifically says: “Don’t waste your ‘DAY’ away watching TV inside”. It said nothing of evening, meaning any time after 6PM.

Yes reception was better when you placed a TV set outdoors. Try doing that these days with digital TV!

When I used to watch TV, I loved watching it out on my deck on a sunny day.

I would think the reception would be even better with digital…as long as you’ve got the right TV and rabbit ears for the job.
