Dogs, bosses, garden slugs, who sits next to who at Thanksgiving, cheating at golf, fretting the night away, carping couples on long trips, eating over the sink, toenail clippings, cosmic order, hairballs, flop sweat, coughing into one’s elbow, clogged pipes, clogged arteries, parking crooked at the mall.
That’s what real life is all about. And that’s what Real Life Adventures is all about.
For nearly two decades, Lance (Aldrich) and Gary (Wise) have drawn, and drawn from, the everyday stuff that we all slog through.
And on any given day, they like to think their little square slice of life is a nice change from the rickety roller coaster the rest of the world seems to be.
Want to share your life’s goofiosity with them? Just post here.

If you want it, you have to hide it. Is she new?

Ladies, just go out and buy your own. Eat while watching TV, or reading a good book. Satisfactory!

That sometimes backfires. I know a petite woman whose husband did the same kind of thing. He would always find the hidden stash. Unfortunately, the wife learned to eat it right away to the detriment of her figure.

Hey, I received a box of Jers candies from GF for Valentine’s Day. I was actually kinda befuddled about what it was I was supposed to do with it… then realized I’d never been given flowers or candy (of my very own) from a woman before. Sure, I got candy from my Grandma and from my parents at Easter… but from a romantic interest? New experience.

I think she needed better hiding places. There are some places in every home that most husbands never go. At least that’s where I hide my goodies.

My wife & I have opposite tastes in candy. Her favorite is the Scotchmallows from See’s, which has caramel and marshmallow, two of my least favorite ingredients. I, on the other hand, like coconut and nuts, two ingredients that she hates, so our candy stashes are safe from each other.
