I always interrupt these people first few words and ask to speak to there supervisor. Then tell them to remove my name from there call list. Probably does no good, but hey I got some entertainment from there disruption by disrupting them.

When I sold vacuum cleaners, this was how the phone room got around ‘do not call’.
First they would call with a survey.
Then a call to say you won a prize.
The prize was really a cheap gift, and an hour or two with me and my vac.

Just depends on the integrity of the company. I do this for a living, we sell a real product…..home security systems……but unlike a lot of places, we’re soft sell only, and if you tell us not to call back, we DON’T.

Being a night owl I return calls between 3am & 5am when it doesn’t cost me money. It is almost always a polite recording. I request to be removed from their calling list.
