    That butcher’s voice sounds a little hoarse.

    It is too bad that people oppose the consumption of horse meat in the US. Reminds me of India and “sacred cows”…makes no sense at all.

    She just wanted a pound of colt cuts for making sandwiches.

    Just like it’s too bad that farm raised cats and dogs aren’t allowed to be used as a meat source. Raises all kinds of possibilities.

    Actually, there is some sense to not killing cows in India. Traditionally they’ve been used for pulling plows, pulling wagons, fertilizer and dairy products. They’re worth more alive.

    I have a photograph and negative that my dad took in England … It shows a long line of people outside a butcher’s shop, on the window is a painted sign: “Horsemeat for human consumption only, Large supply Thurs.”

    @Tom Flapwell

    About a year ago this comic strip had a picture of a dog dressed as a construction worker, scooting across the floor. The Supervisor says, "Doug, stop dragging your butt and get to work!. That one too was credited to JC.

    Good memory, Jeff! I don’t even remember jokes I did a month ago. I rarely use gag writers but John and I have become friends over the years and he has many good ideas. If anyone needs a funny writer, John is your man!

    I saved it to my computer. My memory was only involved to the point of remembering to do so when I got home from work. I tend to save a lot of your stuff.
