    Sounds like GoComics, when they occasionally launch their (expletive) ad script instead of the comic. If I kill that tab, it launches a dozen or more copies of itself.
    .
    Now I open the next comic in a new tab, and if the ad is launched, I go back to my original tab and try again, killing the spam tab when it’s done.
    .
    Yes, I have pop-up blockers enabled, but this is different, apparently. And it really freaken pisses me off.

    If you use Chrome or Firefox, try AdBlock.

    Yes, I have AdBlock, and it really works great. I don’t seem to have any of the problems with GoComics that others do. I just click on the comics page, and everything runs smoothly.
