Behold, two rabbits: Eightball, an ever-upbeat offbeat optimist, and Weenus, sarcastic and small, one-eyed, bitter. The latter is possessed by an Ignatizian longing for the unobtainable Trixie -- bohemian, reader of existential philosophy, master of the diatonic button accordion. And please take note of the foxes: Pif, rabbit-friend, smarter than he looks, caretaker of Jumpy the flea; and Preston, Pif’s dad, a hardcore carnivore, rabbit-hungry and dangerously dumb. There is beguiling beauty in this strange and colorful world, and also a duck named Doodles. Did we mention the MacGuffin in the briefcase? Let the show begin.

Another way for the idiotic government to separate people from more of their money.

The sad part is that lumber companies replant more than they harvest. So, one of the very few industries acting admirably is the one that get punished instead of rewarded by the bureaucrats.

… and neither one of you guys get it. It’s not about the trees, or a punitive government. It’s about what goes into the landfills. We throw away so much stuff, we’re running out of places to put it all.

Our local stores began charging 5 cents per bag if you did not being your own. I have been using my own bags for years. Plastic grocery bags are the big reason for the city ordinance. Our community has gotten rid of plastic bags and you receive paper bags if you didn’t bring your own. I think that this was a smart decision.

We use our own bags, it’s better than having tons of bags we just throw away.

The local Kroger recycles so I don’t pay just return.

Paper degrades into the soil. Plastic doesn’t. Using your own bag is not stupid as long as it is washed clean often.
