Of course Dan was a sleazy scumbag. Which made him fun to watch.

I’d let him shoot. even with the arrow in full contact I’d bet Hamhock would still manage to miss.

Nobody knows where the candidates stand anymore. They say whatever they think we want to hear just to get elected.

$200,000 wouldn’t be too bad for two or three years. Better and longer if you invest it wisely and let it keep making money for you. Though that means you need to select the right stocks to buy and sell your stocks at a decent percentage before they fall.

In that case it’s a a good metaphor for the Cubs EVERY season since 1945. Whether you believe in curses or not, the fact is the Cubs have had the longest streak of not making it to the World Series in the MLB. At least when the Curse of the Bambino was said to be in place it didn’t prevent the Red Soxs from going to the World Series, just from winning the World Series. The Cubs have failed to make it to the World Series since 1945 and they seem unlikely to do so any time soon. And even if they “break” the supposed Curse of the Billy Goat they already have another supposed curse they have to break just to win the World Series, one that was supposedly put on them back in 1908 when they last won the World Series. Last year marked the 107th year since they won a World Series, and the 71st year since they were last in the World Series. Got something going against them.

Not sure. Monte Schulz was born February 1952 and he was the eldest BIOLOGICAL of Schulz’s kids. However his daughter Meredith was adopted and she was born two years before Monte. Don’t know when Schulz adopted her, so it’s possible this is a reference to Meredith as Lucy is about the same age Meredith would have been in 1952.

I’d hope my niece does this, but I expect she’d end up ignored if she did.

“Oh and their both filled with ridiculous fantasies.”

Sad but true, Rat. Sad but true. And whoever gets the most people to believe their fantasies tends to be the one who wins.

Doubt even if the tip of the arrow were touching the apple that Hamhock could hit it. And considering they would be touching, that would really be some feat.
