The fact that the tentacles seeped into the soil, with Rufus giving futile chase, still worries me. I hope this loose end is resolved, unless there are future plans for Flimm’s return in future adventures.

Demanding he sleep when he’s obviously not tired . . . Suspicious.

I’m betting on Oggalulu. Kreelit could have filled her in on what’s going on and has she has motive given how her husband has been neglecting her for Flimm – and on their anniversary, no less. “Hell hath no fury like a . . . monoctopus? . . . scorned!”

Also curious that Lucious sounds a lot like Lupus . . .

I agree with Cor and Kay – please do not water down your vision for the sake of those of us who are so entranced in your reality that something horrible happening to a core character triggers a sense of real loss and betrayal.

To do so would only deprive us of the journeyed depth of feeling that a good story evokes. There’s enough vapid and forgettable ‘feel-good’ narratives out there already.

People may not like this in this moment, but daring to make us uncomfortable will have a far lasting-impact that I think will be much more appreciated in the long-run.

I think she’s remembering her encounter with Stretch-Armless, Margo’s pet Python, who helped our heroes ‘persuade’ her to help them out on their quest.

Amazing transformation she’s gone through. This is a fitting way to end her personal journey. I think it would take away from the power of the narrative to let her live on past her completed purpose.

Wow, thank you, you’re amazing! I had forgotten who the Mushpits were – can’t believe that it’s almost been literally years since this story began.
