I’m not sure where you get your information, but prior to the crusades, islam was tolerant of the other religions of the book. they were learned and had great universities. During the time the Muslims were in Spain everybody got along until the Christians decided to take over, throw the Muslims and Jews out and brought in the inquisition.

mdavis4183, your crudeness and shallow thinking always amaze me. And it’s not your politics.

Why do you label SizeofaPea as far left; just because he disagrees with you? I get tired of hearing progressives labeled as socialists or communists, which they are not- even if you insist they are, Just more stirred up red scare. And not only do you label them communists, but "stinking communist. Even if they were, we live in a free country that allows people to be communists. Are you a fascist?

conservegov you seem to lack in compassion of any sort. Anytime someone wants benefit anybody but themselves you offer a negative comment.

tom, you have little understanding of what racism is. Again, as so often happens, you are blaming the victim. White people have power, because they are white, they may not believe of see it, but it’s true. I am a white man and have worked with many minorities, many good people who truly are victims; sometimes even to well meaning white people. Racism is difficult to understand and more difficult to find a solution to.

Most racism doesn’t end in an incident; it just ends in minorities feeling stepped on and not valued. It’s quiet and easy to miss and allows people to say it doesn’t exist.

A very minor point @Harleyquinn, the word is moot not mute. No criticism intended, just trying to be helpful.
