Heck, the Nebraska State finals are Monday and Tuesday. Since the first snow is scheduled for tomorrow, seems like our time is correct. Milford? Not so much

If Gil and Mimi had any smarts, they’d have their lawyer ready with a multi-million dollar libel suit against the production company and the Milford School district for letting this shame go on.

And it’s not just limited to Major League Cities! In the last 10 years, the Omaha area has built 2 new baseball stadiums (One for the College World Series, one for triple A baseball) a college soccer stadium and 4 (count’em) 4 commercial arenas, two to woo the same USHL (high school level) hockey team!

Milford should have it’s hands full with whoever they play, seeing how most High School football teams are in Week 5 or 6 by now!

There was a Gil and Marty love triangle back in the day, but I don’t think it was with Mimi, but with a dark haired lady who looked much like the “LA Woman” in this week’s strips.

Just to update you, there are 14 schools in the Big 10. And 14 starting QB’s, 10 of whom are at Ohio State.

In towns between 5,000 and 50,000 population in Nebraska, high school football and basketball games are regularly broadcast on radio. Baseball, very seldom, maybe legion ball in the summer.

In fact the Franchise that is now the Sacramento Kings likely holds the record for the most moves. They started as the Rochester Royals, and then moved to Cincinnati. When they moved to Kansas City, they changed their names to the Kings (to avoid confusion with the Baseball team). Because of problems with dates, they shared the team for a few years with Omaha, (The KC-Omaha Kings) until moving the whole operation to KC when Kemper Arena was built. Finally they moved to Sacramento, and were only a few months away from moving to Seattle until a local deal was brokered. Of course, they have had little success at any location!
