    Still in use in Iceland in 1980 in rural areas. You had to listen out for your ‘ring code’ to know that it was for your farm. Some people would listen in even if it wasn’t for them – a true party line.

    Vegan, vegetarian, no thank you. I love plants and eat as many plant eaters as possible, non-human obviously. The moral high ground that vegans and vegetarians claim time and time again is built on quicksand. No matter what your diet you need to kill animals and plants to feed yourself and your family. Simple example would be harvesting, does it not kill thousands of endangered animals every year? Some interesting points at
