    I’ve seen this before https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=1&ved=0ahUKEwiLiOTa7uXOAhUE42MKHaHpAuEQFggcMAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.usnews.com%2Fnews%2Farticles%2F2016-08-17%2Ftriumph-the-insult-comic-dog-shows-fake-trump-ads-to-real-trump-supporters&usg=AFQjCNEqNbwZ6CqUofQsBh1gWB_blmTZVg&sig2=9751C9zdRCVsqSUMx16L5w

And to think, things were just nothing but growth and prosperity before Obama. We went from one of the longest bull markets in US history to one of the deepest recessions in US history. Oh wait… no it was the opposite. But of course, this is a COMIC strip. Not the place to start throwing around words like “obamanation” in the comments.

“I’m going to try and do something”… No, you’re going to “try to do something”. The ‘and’ actually implies you will definitely succeed.

For anyone thinking of trying this at home – grapes are actually toxic to cats. And lilies are even worse. A cat that eats some lily and doesn’t go to the vet until there are symptoms is probably a dead cat. (we had a $2000 vet bill)

Yep – grapes are toxic to cats (as are lilies – that was a $2000 vet bill)

I once saw our cat creep up to and stare intently at a patch of ground. I came up behind him and he suddenly “punched” the ground and had his leg shoulder deep in a tunnel. Didn’t catch the critter – I think my plodding scared it off.

The power plants generally use fossil fuels, but if you run through the efficiency of an internal combustion engine versus an electric power plant, the electric power plant is much more efficient. So distance traveled per CO2 released is larger.

And another big advantage for electric/hybrid cars is that when you hit the brakes, the energy is stored up to be used again. With a conventional car, the brake pads get hot, and then that energy is gone.

@LobosSolos No actually, the supposed “studies” showing Hummers were cleaner than Priuses were based on made up numbers. If Toyota were really using the amount of resources these studies claimed, then they would be selling the Prius at a massive loss, and their annual reports wouldn’t be able to hide this.

No, but the people who stand on the ‘walk’ side of an escalator and ignore the line building up behind them do.

“The “Sex Offender/Domestic Abuser” could just as easily been a cyclist. So the generalization implication simply is not applicable, unless of course you have no real basis on which to argue your point.”

I’m not quite sure what you’re trying to say here – as in really I don’t know what you mean. I said “Let’s make a deal: I won’t generalize to all car drivers if you agree not to generalize cyclists.” The driver in my case was not just a sex offender, not just a domestic abuser, not just a driver with a lengthy record of traffic incidents, but also an uninsured driver.
