Yes and proud of it ! Though less and less so as the years go by and I move further away from hands on work.

5-year old son: I want to be a teacher when I grow up
Me: why don’t you want to be what mommy is?
5-year old son: Ewww! Only girls are engineers!

25-year old son is now a software engineer - just like mommy ;)

Try the smithsonian cafeteria food sometime. It is actually reasonably priced, a lot more variety than most cafeterias and surprisingly good!!! And the museum itself is free. Not too many choices for the kids though.

A coworker in sales loved to take telemarketer calls. Once after a 45 minute call from a lawn care company, they got to the “close”. When the telemarketer asked for a go, my co-worker replied that the service sounded great — but he lived in an apartment!

I make over four times what my hubby did when he retired early a couple years ago. Now he takes care of me and everything around the house and my salary continues to grow. We are both loving it! Win – win.

I think this strip is exaggerating just a little. It usually takes about 2weeks to get back to normal at my gym :-). The regulars take bets on how long it takes. Never recall one one of the resolutioners to stick with it. But the folks that decide that today is the first day of the rest of their life … Those are the ones we see again.

I did this at my mom’s for her this year. Took several hours and I had been snickering at this story arc all week as a result. I “prelit” my own narrow tree and just move it to the basement with lights still on in january. Haven’t had a light string fail on me in for at least 4years running now.

Math for sure. I’m the nerd of my family and proud of it. Hubby has the English covered.

Mustard. I have to move if someone with a hotdog loaded up sits down next to me at a picnic — just can’t stand the smell!
