    Why don’t we hear:

    Timothy McVay – Christian extremist
    Cliven Bundy – Christian extremist
    Craig Hicks – Christian extremist

    The label is accurate.

Oh to have lived in a time when young nude damsels were regularly seen in public.

We should have had that act passed two years ago, but Tom Coburn (R-OK) didn’t think it was a good idea.

When was the last time government actually did something that’s good for you

Let’s see. Last time I drove on the interstate highway system. Last time I flew on a plane. Last time I ate and my food was safe. Last time I was able walk safely around town. Last time I was able to flip on the TV or radio and get a weather report.

Not all government is bad. It is not necessarily bad for people and it is not necessarily bad for business. Yes, excessive government is bad, but not enough government is equally bad.

Since the money contributed to super PACs does not have to be reported, it is difficult to determine how much anyone has contributed. All the websites are based on self-reported or federal data. Perhaps the reason there aren’t any top Republican donors on the list is because they don’t want to be seen there.

For example, on opensecrets.org, the top donor is Thomas Steyer at $73 million. We know that the Koch brothers contributed nearly a billion dollars. Remember what Mark Twain said about statistics – there are lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Five years ago, the Lancet retracted Wakefield et al (1998), the initial article which claimed there was a link between autism and vaccines. It was found that Wakefield and his cronies falsified their data. Here is a link:

There is a difference between deficit and debt. The national debt is at $18 trillion. The deficit has been cut from $1 trillion to $500 billion.

Senator Cruz is a puppet of the Texas oil industry. They say no climate change (such an idea might impact their profits), therefore Ted says no climate change.
