Anyone who gets bent out of shape about December holidays other than Christmas is free to omit from their holiday anything that isn’t specifically Christian. That leaves you with manger scenes, some of the music, and going to church. Everything else— evergreen trees, holly, mistletoe, wreaths, candles, Yule logs, big dinners, family get-togethers, presents, the rest of the music, etc.— is not remotely Biblical, so just drop it all. The Puritans knew this, which is why they outlawed celebrating Christmas.

After he said that Obamacare was comparable to slavery, I stopped listening to anything he says.

Best of luck! I’ll miss the new strips. Thanks for the smiles, snickers, and occasional guffaws.

I went into an apartment to cat-sit, and when I turned the light on I could HEAR them scuttling for cover. No, I don’t mean the cats.

Landlord: “Because they’re not safe on the floor.”

The point is that — if you believe the Bible — Jesus said nothing about homosexuals, but he condemned divorce and remarriage:

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery; and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. (Matthew 5:32; 19:9; Mark 10:11-12; Luke 16:17)

So anyone who opposes same-sex marriage but accepts divorce and remarriage is acting out of bigotry, rather than following Jesus’ teaching. (FYI, Ronald and Nancy Reagan had both been divorced before they married each other.)

How come nobody cared when Reagan said things happened to him when he’d just seen them in movies?

Christians trying to convert me I can brush off. “Christians” making laws that say everyone has to behave as if they were “Christians” get up my nose, especially since those are the people most ignorant of their own religion. Note for those insisting on public prayers before council meetings etc.: Read Matthew 6:5-6 where Jesus says to pray in private, not in public like the hypocrites do. Also Jesus said not one word about homosexuals, but he repeatedly condemned being rich.
