The second most important reason for having a basement — storage (oh, the first is for having someplace to go when the tornado siren sounds off once every 5 – 10 years).

Wow! A strip on Mothers Day that makes no mention of it. Is this cartoonist not in the USA?

Oh good grief. Only thing worse is dying of heat stroke in a world that seems intent upon overheating all interior spaces. I side with the reverend. Put a sweater on, Ellie.

    Republic. . . . If it were a democracy, there’d be no leaders. . . .

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I was beginning to think no one in comicsland remembered what Christmas really is.

Well, bummer. . . why are they exchanging gifts? what are they celebrating? Why can’t comics reflect that Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. . . and if you don’t believe that, then why celebrate at all? Anyway, Merry Christmas to all. May this day and all the coming days of your life be filled with the love of God.

Yes, there is controversy in the scientific community. It’s just that MSNBC doesn’t report the existence of scientists who point out the data that shows the temperatures of Earth have not risen in the past 15 years, that temperature fluctuations are cyclical over time (and large segments of time, not just from summer to winter), and that governments try to shut them up because the truth interferes with the liberal political agenda.
