Right – fortunately, registered charities that qualify for tax exemption have to report their records, and several states make this information publicly available. As best I recall, Doctors Without Borders is one of the best for actually spending the money on the stated relief projects, with a minimum spent on administration and fund-raising. But I never pledge to phone solicitors! You should always check those agencies before agreeing to donate. After all, the solicitors work for a telemarketing company that is hired by the “charity”, so a chunk of the money goes just for that.

If the city awarded Walt a gold cane, his grandkids should have known about it!

    “Who’s there?”
    “I’m not sure.”
    “HEISENBERG!!!!”
“But now I’m no longer here! Bye!"

We have no idea how many times Jonah has been there for Shannon, because of course there’s no reason for Brad and Toni to be there when he is.

I love the way in Panel 4 that Mildred is actually contemplating Shauna’s rhetorical question, trying to come up with a real response.

When Eamon (or Edmund) de Valera was in a British prison cell awaiting execution for leading the Easter Uprising in the Irish Revolution (his death sentence was commuted at the last minute, since he had been born in the USA), he scrawled Hamilton’s rules for the multiplication of quaternions on the walls of his cell, as a tribute to one of Ireland’s greatest contributions to intellectual culture. Later, when he was President of the Irish Republic, he had a plaque placed on the bridge in Dublin where Hamilton had originally scrawled the equations on the bricks himself.

Just like the Christmas show at The Fuse. Considering the quality of some of these “acts” (chin puppetry???), we should consider ourselves fortunate.

Brad joining them as a trio? Let’s see, we have Shannon singing and dancing, Jonah playing the guitar, and Brad… standing there, awkwardly strumming without really playing anything, and the audience hooting in laughter.

That’s because a person who is 18 is legally an adult, so he is subject to the normal legal system for criminal justice.
