    Never paper (or wee-wee pad) train. You’re teaching the puppy that it’s OK to go in the house, when you want him to think the end of the world is at hand if he does. Crate train!

    One of my Labradors used to get so excited about a ride in the car that she’d jump around all over the place with all four off the floor, and then be asleep in the back seat before we got out of the driveway.
