Yeah. I was going to ask about that. I guess this is another one of those cases where the Sunday strip is written ahead of time.

That “Oooooooo” was about the most famous line in “A Garfield Christmas.” I wonder if this strip came before or after that.

Wow! A story arc in Marmaduke. That’s a rarity. I wonder if now that Brad passed and someone else took over (whoever it is), we’ll be seeing more story arcs. Just a thought.

Oh, so he’s based on a real person?

It’s interesting how in the early days, Susie was sort of a trouble maker as well. Now she’s more of a ‘good girl’ type. I guess her visit to the principal’s office was helpful to her, but not to Calvin. Lol.

Well she can’t be in the first strip because in that continuity Garfield doesn’t exist.

I guess in your case it may be like a “Brady Bunch” approach. I recall all six kids referred to Mike and Carol as “Mom and Dad.”

Also, this could be why they didn’t reprint the strip where Calvin first trapped Hobbes in the tiger trap. Because it defies continuity.

“I seem to recall you spent most of your time burping up.”

So they’re not going in order? I thought they’d start with the strips where Susie was introduced. Heck, I was thinking they’d start with the strips where Calvin first trapped Hobbes. I guess they didn’t go way back to the beginning with this one.

There was a book about 1984 long before 1984? I thought they changed that in the strip to make it more updated. I’ll have to read that book some time.
