My sentiments exactly. I’m not sure what the goal of this strip was, but at first blush, it looks as though it was crafted to paint law enforcement officers in a bad light. Your observations about Officer Joey acting inappropriately are spot-on, and I’m hoping that perhaps another officer will show up at the house to offer a sincere apology to the family.

I’m getting more and more disappointed in Cantu and Castellanos’s portrayal of law enforcement. Especially the insistence on the drawn gun leveled at Baldo and Sergio’s heads.

I’m a little confused here. Is it common for a police officer to simply stand outside someone’s front door with his gun drawn? Because as things stand now, it looks as though this episode is being crafted to cast law enforcement officers in a bad light.

I really hope they treat this situation responsibly and give the cops some credit here.

People, people, people… You’re making a big assumption. Remember, the list was torn, so you don’t know what’s missing. Could be the case that Mr. Rod is trying to figure out a way to KEEP all those employees at the top of the page.

I think a lot of you are missing the point here. The dog is passing up the legitimate news outlet in order to “make his mark” on the purveyors of fabrication.
