But why have they skipped 220 weekly strips, 15 complete stories?
Well, they’ve finally given us the strips for the last two Sundays — but they skipped 10 stories in between!
They have now skipped two Sundays in a row. And still no response to my query, now a week old.
Lubbers always used text rather than word balloons in the Tarzan strip, as had Maxon, Hal Foster, Burne Hogarth, and Rubén Moreira. It was John Celardo who first used balloons in this strip.
The fact that they skipped Sunday’s strip, which should be the first installment of “The Importance of Being Ernest” and in the Spanish edition they have skipped 10 entire story lines.
Well, I’ve lodged my complaint with the powers-that-be at GoComics. They have not even had the courtesy to reply. They clearly don’t give a damn.
If they’re using that as last Sunday’s strip, then they’ve skipped over 10 stories, that originally appeared over the period 1 Nov. 1992-12 Jan. 1997. This is the worst slap in the face yet.
The Louisiana story ended last Sunday, with strip #3193. Yesterday’s strip, which should be #3194, starts a new story, “The Importance of Being Ernest”.
We’ve been cheated again.
Glad to know I’m not the only one who wants today’s strip!
