I just realized that this week’s strips are from two years ago.

Leave the white belt to the military dress uniforms, let the pants fall to the floor, and wear something else, please!

Both of Satchel’s parents are Canadian. I think Mac’s maternal grandfather is an American ex-pat.

The flap isn’t intended as an exit. It is designed that way so that varying ‘package’ sizes can be accommodated in the same waist size. It is a flawed idea for standardization.

Calvin’s not tall enough for that, given the height of the bed. He is likely standing on the edge of the box spring.

There are also nine hardcover collections that include commentary, from Academia Waltz to Opus. My library has eight of them, and I plan on making a purchase request for the Academia Waltz book. Also out this month is The Bill the Cat Story.

@jblenkle: I have long maintained that Trump has Bucky’s brain.

This is the series of strips that send the Major and Ma Bloom to space. Disney World (two words) isn’t anywhere close to Cape Canaveral.
    …………………………………………………..
Did you know that the Major’s last name isn’t Bloom? It is Flynn. Milo Bloom called him Grandpa occasionally. Also we never see Milo’s parents, nor are they ever discussed. Binkley’s mom runs off with a Hell’s Angel.

This is one of the reasons I am a total teetotaler. I never want to be inebriated. I’m odd enough sober.

By this time Dad knows Calvin talks to, and argues with, what he sees as a stuffed tiger. He knows his son. I think Dad believes Hobbes is the more mature parts of Calvin that he hopes will eventually take over.
    :
Dad would be wrong about this, according to Watterson. Calvin perceives Hobbes as a real talking tiger, everyone else perceives him as a stuffed tiger. Watterson portrays both views of reality as equally true. Hobbes is an entity unto himself that can perform independent actions, but only Calvin can perceive it. It would be extremely creepy if Hobbes understood that no one but Calvin thinks he is alive, but he doesn’t.
