And were not only Catholics among Christianity who commited killings and injustice to other peoples. A lot of the European colonialists in Africa were exploiting and slavering the people living there, justifiyng it on religiosos basis. Same happened with slavery in United States: ministers from Methodists, Baptists and several other churches said slavery was sanctified, even ordered, by God. Good thing was that a lot others pertaining to these or others churches condemned slavery. It was, as is always, a matter of what really yo do have at your core: real charity and compassion, or intolerance and arrogance.

And if you took some (a lot) of the statements of the Bible, without knowing their context and a broader understanding of the whole teachings of Christianism, you can end with similar conclusions about Christianity that you bestow upon other faiths. Statements like:

34 “Think not that I am come to send peace on earth. I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to ‘set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.’

Moses ordering the killing of thousands of children and women, and the slavery as forced concubines of young virgins:

15 And Moses said unto them, “Have ye saved all the women alive?
16 Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord.
17 Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman who hath known a man by lying with him.
18 But all the women children, who have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

Actually, I’ve seen people from other religions with their lives very well ordered. And a lot of us know at least one of them: Gandhi. Another one, from Catholic church: Mother Theresa. And I failed to recall right now the name of an hinduist woman, who has instituted a big work of charity and helping of others and between people, while herself dedicates to talk, embrace and comfort all the visitors who reach to her. And I’m not a believer of any of those religions.

Well, maybe they know is a “he”, because of his name (Clive) and how his voice sounded through the transporter’s speakers.

Real power doesn’t need to raise its voice. Think Don Corleone.

DHG, I’m from one of those countries leftwingpatriot mentioned. And I can tell you, the marines didn’t invade because some treaty was violated, but to IMPOSE our people and governments to accept treaties benefiting US companies. And we had to pay many lives because of it.

So, for you all comes down to who can kill more of the other people in order to protect and impose their interests, uh?
