Great cartoon! Who is this ANandy guy? His comments are so knee-jerk right wing, but at least he is consistent.

Excellent! Gallup just published a report on another rise in obesity. How hard can it be to make a healthy meal in place of driving by for hamburgers and fries? It does take energy and planning, qualities that seem to be in short supply in this country. Thank you!

Watch carefully when you shop for groceries next time. It is astonishing to see the piles of snacks and soft drinks nestled in carts along with frozen meals and packaged “food.”

Genius usually doesn’t have to attack “humans” so viciously, so I’m assuming it is something internal that has to be projected outward.

Having spent twenty-two years as a student, raising two adults through their graduate degrees, and taking a keen interest in the very dedicated teachers my grandson (in a gifted track admittedly) is learning from, I have admiration for good teachers and the schools they try to educate in for enduring the often damaged, neglected and too often spoiled children they face each day.

Yes, much of the problem lies within the home and the parents! Too frequently they are indifferent and abusive or very sure that their children are ALWAYS blameless - regardless.

I’ve continued to subscribe to the N & O out of loyalty to print journalism and a disinclination to contribute to its demise, but this latest betrayal of talent may make it impossible to continue “tilting at windmills.”

I know. It is money. Television is a vast wasteland with very few exceptions. Sigh.

I guess all we have with some actual choice is the internet.

A wave of nostalgia and gratitude washed over me at the mention of Molly Ivins. What a terrible loss to political humor and common sense her premature death was! Texas puzzles me, but I’m originally from the SF Bay Area, so it is no surprise!

“Fewer” is correct. Obama undoubtedly is hoping more access to and encouragement to use birth control would lead to fewer abortions. As myhaircut indicates, no one would think that was a bad thing!

This is so frightening, but thanks for reminding us of the mindset of the “off-kilters.” I’m a therapist and know how distorted the thinking becomes!

I like this cartoon. Perhaps the critics just didn’t really “get it.” Why the need to be so unkind? It is one thing to criticize the cartoon itself, but quite another to insult the artist gratuitously! If you don’t care for her work, don’t look at it!
